• Our Chinchillas - We specialise in pets and Royal Persian Angora (Long Haired and Lion Mane)  chinchillas. We also have ebony (Black), white, velvet, beige (Light Brown), Tan (Dark Brown) and standard grey.                                                                                                                                                                           

• For Sale - We have a small number of breeding chinchillas, we don't have room to keep them all so sometimes we have kits for sale. Kits for sale appear on the 'chinchillas for sale' page. Kits are ready for new homes at 12 weeks old and come with change over food.  Please be aware chinchillas generally have small litters maybe once or twice a year, please contact us for a specific fur colour.  Kits can be reserved from after 1 week old.                                                                                                                                                                                                         

• Cages - We have extra large two level cages and 'thickets' style custom cages made to be kit-safe. Similar suitable cages are available on 'ebay' and shops online. Please do not use cages with plastic shelves or trays - you can remove these and replace with untreated kiln dried pine wood.  Please try to keep chinchillas between  9-21 degrees with adequate ventilation, you may need air-conditioning in summer.  

                                                                        

• Feeding / Diet - We use Henry Bell pellets with a mix of burgess pellets , fresh timothy hay and treat with safe herbs and small amounts of alfa hay. Other chinchilla pellet brands are suitable.  

 

• Ours costs - Our kits sold help pay towards all our animal feeds and to maintain our cages.  For this reason we believe we are one of the fairest, if not cheapest places to buy a chinchilla.    

                                                                                      

• Delivery / Courier - We prefer for animals to be collected in person. If you trust or know an animal courier we are happy to discuss. It is also possible to meet at Spalding train or bus station if preferred, which is easily reached via Peterborough station.

 

 

 

History Fenland Chinchillas  (formally Chalkwell Chinchillas 1984 - 2012).

Originally from Chalkwell, Essex, we are now in south Lincolnshire, near Gosberton, North of Spalding and Peterborough PE11.

We have had chinchillas for over 25 years.
